A Scalable Gold Project with Early Production and Long-Term Upside
Hillside is Kavango’s first 100%-owned gold project in Zimbabwe and the foundation of its broader production strategy in the country. Located in the historic Filabusi Greenstone Belt, Hillside is positioned across a major regional deformation zone; a structural setting typically associated with shear-hosted gold deposits.
Early drilling and sampling have confirmed the presence of mineralised shear zones with potential for both open-pit and underground mining. Four priority prospects are now being advanced:
Nightshift
Steenbok
Bill’s Luck
Britain
In March 2024, Kavango launched Kavango Mining, a dedicated operating subsidiary, to begin small-scale gold mining in parallel with ongoing exploration. Production is currently averaging around 2kg of gold per month from targeted zones. A modular, 50-tonne-per-day gravity plant is under construction to support near-term scale-up.
At the same time, Kavango is rehabilitating historic shafts and preparing to bring more prospects online as resources are proven. This phased approach allows the Company to generate early revenue while expanding its understanding of the broader system.
Hillside is a district-scale opportunity built around a proven geological structure, with the potential to support sustained gold production over time.
